With 34 years performing in the major music capitals of five continents, the Alexander String Quartet is regarded as one of the world’s premiere ensembles. Widely admired for its interpretations of Shostakovich and Beethoven, they will play two programs including the Shostakovich Quartets numbers 4 in D major and 7 in F-sharp minor, and Beethoven’s Quartet No. 13 in B-flat major (concluding with the Grosse Fugue).
